Our Personal Care Workers:
We are currently seeking casual Personal Care Workers with experience in Home & Community Care, who are willing to travel to our elderly customers' homes in Lakes Entrance, providing daily assistance for our clients in a way that is safe, effective and supports their daily living.
Key Duties:
- Provide home care including general housekeeping, personal hygiene activities and tasks, respite and transport services to appointments and activities
- Monitor and report on client’s conditions as required
- Deliver appropriate care according to the individual and personalised care plan
- Establish and maintain a current and accurate confidential consumer reporting system
- Attend to the physical and/or social needs of consumers
- Maintain and enhance the dignity, integrity, rights and confidentiality of consumers
- Maintains qualifications as required by role
- Required to report any unsafe situations/incidents (including ‘near misses’) according to Baptcare’s OHS reporting procedures
- Required to apply industry standard infection control guidelines and practices
- To be responsible and aware that all duties are always performed according to Baptcare Policy and Procedures, ensuring that all duties are always performed within State and Legislative frameworks
About you:
Hold a minimum of Certificate 3 in Aged Care/Individual Support or Home and Community Care or Cert IV Disability or Nursing qualification
- Hold a current minimum Level 2 First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Have a recent Police Check within 12 months specific to working unsupervised with vulnerable people or be willing to obtain one
- Must have own roadworthy vehicle, Australian Driver's Licence and own mobile smart phone (International Drivers Licence is not acceptable for these roles, for more information please email the below email address)
- Must have had or be willing to get a Flu vaccination
- Must have Covid-19 vaccinations up to date
- Excellent verbal and written communication and intermediate computer literacy
