The Role

Amberlea is one of Baptcare's Residential Aged Care facilities located in Drouin, Victoria that continues to welcome new residents. As a result, we have multiple Casual opportunities for Personal Care Assistants who live in the local area. Shifts and varying hours are available for morning, afternoon & night duty. We are particularly seeking reliable candidates with the availability and flexibility to work weekdays AND weekends as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Listen to consumers and understand what is important to them and support them to achieve their goals
  • Following the care plan, work to a planned schedule under the direction of a registered nurse
  • Record consumer outcomes into the appropriate Baptcare records
  • Participate in the continuous improvement cycle at the home
  • Build relationships with families and other agencies/stakeholders with the goal of improving life for consumers in care
  • Report workplace risks to management
  • Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values
  • Attend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skill

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Covid vaccinations
  • Minimum of 12 months working experience in an Aged Care facility
  • Be customer focused with a passion for working in Aged Care
  • Have excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitude
  • A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team
