About the Role:

We have the exciting role of Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator available for candidates interested in leading the Leisure & Lifestyle team. The purpose of this role is to develop and oversee a Lifestyle program that reflects resident preferences and enables individuals to maximise their abilities. Part of this role is to mentor and lead the Lifestyle Team in the delivery of this program and will be a central point of social activity & emotional connection on site.

Duties:

• Establish positive and supportive relationship with residents and their families, to produce a detailed Lifestyle Assessment
• Develop, implement and evaluate individual Lifestyle Care Plans
• Create a monthly site program
• Develop positive relationships with other Care staff, Volunteers & the Pastoral Care team to ensure a comprehensive, compassionate & holistic approach to the social, emotional & cultural wellbeing of each resident
• Ensure the efficient use of resources to enable the delivery of a variety of programs aimed at providing care to residents, including supervision of activities which may take place outside normal office hours

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum two years' experience as a Lifestyle Coordinator working within the Aged Care sector, including the support of residents with dementia
• Cert IV in Leisure and Health (Essential)
• Current First Aid (Level 2) Certificate
• Computer literacy, including ability to produce flyers, program calendars, newsletters etc
