The Role:

We are seeking motivated and passionate Enrolled Nurses to join our supportive and friendly teams at Karingal Community in Devonport on a casual basis.

We are seeking Enrolled Nurses who are dedicated to providing best practice care to our clients, delivering high-quality care and maintaining a superior level of dignity, respect, comfort, and quality of life for residents at our facility. In this role, you will work closely with the Registered Nurse to develop individual care plans and ensure that a high standard of care is consistently delivered to our clients

Shifts and varying hours are available for morning, afternoon, and night duty - we are particularly seeking reliable candidates with the availability and flexibility to work weekdays AND weekends as required for casual and part-time shifts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers client care within a team approach based on mutual respect and clear communication between all members of the team, working collaboratively.
• Ensure all review processes (ACFI, annual care plan and clinical care delivery) are reviewed and audited as per the Baptcare schedule and NUM’s direction. 
• Ensures any relevant clinical, emotional or behavioural changes to Clients, are communicated promptly to the Nurse Unit Manager and /or GP’s in a prompt, clear manner to ensure the most effective response.
• Demonstrates understanding of the existing Risk Management systems and is able to effectively complete relevant procedures, including active participation in risk management reviews with the NUM or Manager to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
• Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the Baptcare quality systems and effectively utilises them to accurately document risks and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Safely stores and delivers medications in accordance with established procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance for safe medication management and maintaining the well-being of individual clients.
• Maintains strict privacy and dignity when handling all information related to client care and promotes the same approach among team members and contractors on site.

About you:

• Completed Diploma in Nursing and has a current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Experience working within the Aged Care Sector or with Elderly people.

• Must have a COVID vaccination.

• Must be willing to undergo background checks and a medical assessment that is specific to working with vulnerable clients

• Current Driver’s License (preferred but not mandatory)
• Ability to meet and perform the inherent requirements of the role.
