The Aged Services team provides quality home and community support services for older people, people with a disability and their carers. About the Role:

This is a great opportunity to work in Community Aged Care whilst maintaining a work-life balance. You will transport senior adults to and from the Social Support Group and outings, assist clients on and off the bus as needed and undertake vehicle checks and maintenance schedule.

In this role, you will participate in developing and delivering activities that meet the client's identified needs and assist with their care needs.

You must have a current Victorian light rigid driver's licence and experience in transporting and working with clients within a community setting.

The primary location of this role is at Bellfield Community Hub. This job requires 22.25 hours across three days per week. Preferred days are Monday 8.30 am-4 pm, Tuesday 8.30 am-4.45 pm, Thursday 8.15 am-4.15 pm.

**Days are negotiable for the successful candidate.

Skills, experience and certificates:

  • Certificate III Home and Community Care (or equivalent).
  • Ability to read and interpret a road map effectively (with a good sense of direction).
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and work independently.
  • Ability to meet service deadlines and operational standards.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the Aged and Disability Services, including the needs of aged and clients with a Disability and those experiencing Dementia.
  • Ability to work with other team members to plan, implement and evaluate activities and programs designed to meet clients' needs, interests and skill levels.
  • CPR & Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
  • Manual driver's license, Light Rigid license and driver's certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience in the community services transport area (desirable).
  • A relevant second community language (desirable).
  • Food Handling (desirable).

  • Functional Capacity Assessment
  • Current Working with Children’s check
  • CPR & Level 2 First Aid Certificate
