We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Credit Manager to join the team. The Senior Commercial Credit Manager is responsible for commercial loan assessment, ongoing client relationship management and commercial loan portfolio management. The Senior Commercial Credit Manager also provides deal support to the Impact Finance division, Bank Australia’s primary source of commercial lending.

What you will be doing
- Perform detailed credit analysis, including deep financial and risk analysis
- Reviews of commercial loan facilities and customers
- Assist the Credit Manager - Commercial Lending to develop procedures, standards of operation, plan and implement business improvements
- Approve loans and review the approvals as appropriate
- Drafting and negotiating of loan documentation with bank and external solicitors
- Provide influence and insights into Credit Risk policies and frameworks
- Foster a strong culture of compliance best practice in commercial lending
- Provide deal support to the bank’s Impact Finance division
- Liaise with and assist commercial lenders
- Represent Bank Australia and build strong external and internal relationships to assist the bank achieve its commercial lending objectives
- Promote Bank Australia in a positive and professional way in relation to our social, environmental and sustainability brand strategies
- Deliver optimum professional, efficient and friendly service at all times.
What you will bring
- Significant experience in commercial credit analysis and assessments
- A comprehensive understanding of credit policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a track record of strong KPI performance
- Proven ability to perform detailed and complex work with a high level of accuracy
- Strong relationship building and management skills
- Exemplary service delivery standards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
- A comprehensive knowledge of bank operating procedures and products and services
- An ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours
- Current high level delegated lending authority (preferred)
- Relevant education or training (preferred)
