Position Description
Working under the direction of the Marketing Manager, this role supports the delivery of Bangarra’s marketing activity, especially in the areas of direct marketing, website, and social media.
Areas of Responsibility
Direct Marketing
- Build, test, and implement email marketing & promotions to the database;
- With the Marketing Manager, ensure the development of content for e-newsletters;
- Schedule pre- and post-show emails;
- Write copy for email marketing;
- Maintain records of email performance to monitor and analyse performance and inform strategy;
- Use Tessitura to ensure that email lists are accurate and customer data is appropriately recorded.
Website
- Maintain and update Bangarra’s website, via the custom CMS, and ensure its updated in line with the Company's campaign strategies and revenue objectives (with oversight from the Marketing Manager and Marketing & Communications Director);
- Contribute to the continual development of Bangarra’s website with the external web developers;
- Analyse website traffic and engagement with Google Analytics and other tools as required;
- Maintain TNEW content in line with the Bangarra website, with the Ticketing & CRM Manager.
Social media
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop content and collaborate with external contractors to develop video and photo content for social media channels;
- Assist the Ticketing team to respond to Customer Service enquiries via social media.
Other duties
- Process invoices for the department using the finance software
- Provide a range of administrative support to the Marketing team, including travel booking and assistance with venue hire sales & marketing and booking travel
- Develop skills in utilising Bangarra’s ticketing and customer database (Tessitura) to support the ticketing & customer service team during high volume periods.
- The role is required to perform other reasonable duties as instructed by the Marketing Manager or Marketing & Communications Director
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing or communications (minimum 1 year).
- Sound organisational and administrative skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skill, with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and to work to deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and high level proofreading skills.
- Experience editing website content – comfortable with website and email technology
- Pro-active, solutions focussed, flexible and calm under pressure.
- A commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in the arts & entertainment sector.
- Knowledge of and experience with Tessitura.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics.
- Understanding of best digital practices.
