About the role

This Nursing and Midwifery research role is a new Grampians Health initiative which aims to:

  • Enhance research capacity for nursing and midwifery professionals in rural and regional areas
  • Translate evidence into practice to improve patient outcomes
  • Create a vibrant nursing research culture

Nursing and Midwifery Research Assistant

The Nursing and Midwifery Research Assistant will provide research support, study coordination, and data collection, management and analysis for non-trial nursing and midwifery research undertaken at Grampians Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project administrative tasks.
  • Project management of the research project as directed by Program Managers
  • Undertake literature searches and literature reviews
  • Undertake data collection and analysis
  • Assist with the preparation of written research reports

Skills and experience

  • Be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse Division or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Demonstrated awareness and understanding of Research Methodology (Good Clinical Practice) and Culture
  • Proven ability to function effectively both autonomously and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • High-level computer skills, including MS Office
  • Good administrative and organisational skills
