This is an exciting opportunity for a Youth Case Worker with innovative practices to join our Team and engage with at-risk young people with a focus on youth development and participation of youth in the employment and training programs.

BABI Youth and Family Service has a vacancy for a Youth Case Worker in its Wynnum Office. Get Set for Work is an intensive employment and training assistance program for young, disengaged Queenslanders aged 15-19 years. The aim of the program is for young people to gain the skills and confidence to enter the workforce, go on to further training or go back and complete school.

This position requires an experienced individual who can demonstrate extensive skills in youth engagement, specifically engaging young people into education, training and employment. The BABI Get Set For Work Youth Case Worker will be responsible for managing and supporting participant attendance. They will also be responsible for providing professional, effective and engaging case management, group work, life skills, personal development workshops and outdoor activities. The role also requires reporting and administration tasks.

The role would suit a skilled worker with a minimum of diploma level qualifications in the youth work, community or human services field. A minimum of 2 years experience in working with at-risk young people, preferably in a not-for-profit agency environment is also required. The position is paid in accordance with the Queensland Community Services and Crisis Assistance Award – State 2008 (TPEO) at Level 4.1.
