The NSW Branch of the Australian Workers Union is seeking a Digital Marketer.

The Australian Workers’ Union is a large, powerful, modern and professional union that has been improving the lives of Australian workers for 132 years.

We are a diverse union representing workers in a range of industries including manufacturing, steel, aluminium, glass, oil & gas, aviation, agriculture, construction, state public services, local government, health, food, resources, aquaculture, and events.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement multi-channel digital campaigns to drive recruitment through email, SMS, social media and phone calling
• Design promotional material and digital assets for industrial campaigns
• Write high-quality copy for email blasts and direct mail for distribution to members and potential members
• Manage and maintain the AWU website using WordPress
• Create and write interesting and relevant content for the AWU website
• Tell members stories through photography and filming

Essential criteria:

• Experience designing and managing Facebook ads through Facebook Ads Manager
• Experience with Mailchimp, Nationbuilder or similar email campaigning tools
• Experience analysing and measuring campaign data
• Experience using CMS platforms such as, Wordpress, Nationbuilder or similar
• Graphic design skills, using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, InDesign)
• Video editing skills, using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite or similar (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro)
• Experience taking professional photos and videos with a DSRL camera or similar
• Commitment to union values and the labour movement
• Ability to travel around NSW regularly

Desirable criteria:

• A valid driver’s licence
• Web development skills
• Programming skills
• Familiarity with key industries in which the AWU has coverage
• A bachelor’s degree in communications or similar is preferred but not conditional

Conditions:

An attractive Salary and other generous conditions will be offered depending on experience. A relocation package may also be available if moving from interstate.
