We live in Southbank, Melbourne, with our adult son, who lives with profound autism. He likes to live in a quiet environment where his predictable needs and safety are well catered for. The right person can support him to do things he is comfortable and happy to do.

Required Part-time shifts each week, as follows:

Monday: 5pm to 9.30pm
Thursday: 3pm to 9.30pm
Saturday: 8.30am to 2.30pm
Sunday: 8.30am to 2.30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to an adult with profound autism, ensuring a quiet and predictable environment that caters to his needs and safety.
• Assist Aaron in activities he is comfortable and happy to engage in.
• Carry out necessary household tasks and related activities as directed by the employer.
• Perform shopping duties as required.
• Follow instructions provided by the employer.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possession of a full driver's license.
• Good physical fitness to meet the demands of the role.
• Recent police check clearance.
• Availability to work 6-hour shifts on weekends and weekdays.
• No prior knowledge or work experience in autism or disability is required. Training will be provided.
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop a relationship with Aaron.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• The location is close to buses, trams, and trains.
• Candidates who need to wear glasses and cannot wear contact lenses should not apply.
• The home environment is vegan.
