We’re looking for a Strategic Urban Planner who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country in Fiji (Suva) for a total of 12 months.
UNESCAP (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) based in Fiji plays a key role in promoting sustainable development and regional cooperation across the Pacific. It works closely with member countries, including Fiji, to support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through policy advice, capacity building, and technical assistance. UNESCAP’s Fiji office focuses on advancing regional initiatives in areas such as climate change, urban development, and disaster resilience.
The Australian Volunteers Program is an Australian government-funded initiative. We support partner organisations across the Pacific, Asia, and Africa to achieve locally led change.

There are two allowances for a hybrid assignment.
The allowance for the in-country phase is AUD $2,516 per month, the allowance for the remote phase is AUD $79 per month.
