We’re looking for 2 Multi Grade Teacher Trainers who can live and volunteer for 12 months in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
The Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Public School System serves students across 24 atolls and islands dispersed over nearly two million square kilometres of ocean. Many schools operate in multi-grade settings due to small enrolments and teacher shortages.
Strengthening teacher capacity in multi-grade teaching is a core national priority under the RMI Education Sector Plan. Australian Volunteers will play an essential role in building practical, classroom-embedded skills for teachers through structured training and sustained in-school coaching, especially in remote and outer island contexts.
The Australian Volunteers Program is an Australian government-funded initiative. We support partner organisations across the Pacific, Asia, and Africa to achieve locally led change.
Volunteers are supported throughout their volunteer journey. We actively support and encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to volunteer and aim to make the program as accessible and inclusive as possible. If you have accessibility requirements, please contact us to discuss how we can support you to volunteer with us - [email protected] using the subject line: Multi Grade Teacher Trainers x2 (Voluntary) - Republic of the Marshall Islands enquiry via EthicalJobs.
