We’re looking for a Cricket Coach who can live and volunteer in Samoa for 12 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across Central & North Pacific.

Samoa Cricket is a not for profit Sports Organisation and the governing body of Cricket in Samoa. Our development cricket programs have a participation base of more than 30,000 of women and girls, boys and men including children and people with disabilities on both islands of Upolu and Savaii. The current practise when teams are prepared for international competitions, SICA recruits the coach from overseas on a part-time basis.
This is normally on a 2-3 months assignment before the national team departs for international competitions. Unfortunately a volunteer is needed as there is no expertise available on island (for a cricket high performance coach. SICA is looking at the volunteer to work with the men and women's team and at the same time work and understudy by our selected team of local coaches. At the end of the assignment our local coaches will continue to coach our national teams at the same time further their training and obtain the required minimum qualification to be a cricket high performance coach. SICA need a volunteer to help lead the The Samoa Cricket Strategy 2022-2026 to lead and develop high performance. This is a rewarding role that will see you help shape National Team’s success will inspire the next generation of cricketers.
