We’re seeking an Academic Journal Management Advisor for Islamic Sciences, Morals and Humanities who can volunteer remotely for three months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across Indonesia.

About the Partner Organisation: 

As a faculty under UIN Salatiga, Fakultas Uushuluddin, Adab, dan Humaniora (FUADAH) or Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Morals and Humanities has vision in 2030 to be a leading center of excellence in the development of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Humanities in an integrative and interconnective manner for the advancement of a peaceful society with dignity.

FUADAH offers five study programs, specifically Sejarah Peradaban Islam (Islamic History and Civilization), Ilmu Al Qur'an dan Tafsir (Quranic Sciences and Tafsir), Bahasa dan Sastra Arab (Arabic Language and Literature), Aqidah dan Filsafat Islam (Islamic Theology and Philosophy), dan Ilmu Hadis (Science of Hadith). Furthermore, FUADAH is currently strengthened by a total of 85 staff comprising 6 education staff, 43 full-time lecturers as well as 36 part-time lecturers.

About the Position: 

• You’ll build local staff capacity to improve to improve the quality of scientific journal management within the Faculty
• You’ll need to providing advice and guidance on journal management, including the best practices, insights and experiences in managing international journals
• You’ll be incredibly able to contribute to the Faculty of one of the Islamic universities in Indonesia

Allowance: $131

Allowance figure is per month, allowance figures are $131 (full-time), $79 (part-time).

Special requirements

• The Partner Organization's preference for this role is full-time (more than 25 hours per week).
• Federal Police check must be completed during the application.
• Video response interview must be completed as part of this application.
