We are looking for someone who is passionate about climate action and story telling to join the 1 Million Women content team, creating engaging social media content to educate and empower women to act on climate in their everyday lives.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are passionate about empowering women to live climate action, you find joy in using social media as a tool for activism, have a solid understanding of digital landscapes, you can use multimedia programs as outlined below and you want to help build community and drive change.

THE ROLE

As our Social Media & Content Creator you will:

• Work as part of a small team to create social media content for 1 Million Women’s social media channels from the conception of ideas to the final product - answering to the Head of Digital.

• Use Adobe programs (Including Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro) & Canva to design content that meets the 1MW style guide.

• Contribute to the social media rollout of 1 Million Women’s campaigns centred around the topics of tangible everyday actions, electrification, overconsumption, using our money for good, empowering women to be use their voice, be more politically engaged, and more.

• Bring fresh ideas and strategies to our social media content to further our reach and engagement.

• Be part of a dedicated team, committed to climate action and to empowering women to build their confidence, find their voice and act on climate through making real change within their own lives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• At Least 1-2 years experience in content creation and social media & digital strategy and implementation
• Experience working with Instagram for a business, organisation, community group etc
• Proficient in basic asset creation on Adobe Photoshop and Canva and basic video editing on Premiere Pro
• Excellent written communication skills, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to edit others' work
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, ability to multitask and know what to prioritise
• Has own laptop that can run Adobe programs
• And a passion for climate communication and women’s empowerment

Employment type: Full or Part-time, 4 or 5 days weekly (negotiable).

Salary package: $78,050 - $80,000 (pro rata) per annum inclusive of super. Salary level depends on experience.
