We are looking for a passionate person to join the 1 Million Women content team and be part of 1MW’s next chapter of work to deliver our new campaign 1MREADY, educating and empowering women to act on climate in their everyday lives.

Who are you?

You are passionate about empowering women to live climate action, you find joy in social media activism and have an understanding of digital landscapes, you can use multimedia programs as outlined below and you want to help build community and drive change as part of 1 Million Women’s core campaign 1MREADY.

THE ROLE

As a Content & Social Media Coordinator you will:

• Work as part of a small team (answering to the Head of Digital) to create content for 1 Million Women’s social media channels from the conception of ideas to the final product
• Use Adobe programs ( Including Premier Pro & Photoshop) and canva to design content that meets the 1MW style guide
• Contributing to the social media roll out of 1 Million Women’s focus campaign 1MREADY
• Maintain 1 Million Women’s social channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Tik Tok (to be established) and the 1MW blog & website
• Bring fresh ideas and strategies to our social media content to further our reach and engagement
• Assist communications for various campaigns and partners
• Be part of a team fighting the climate crisis through the way we live and empowering women to make real change within their own lives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• At Least 1-2 years experience in content creation and social media & digital strategy and implementation
• Experience working with Instagram for a business or organisation
• Proficient in basic asset creation on Adobe Photoshop and canva and basic video editing on Premiere Pro
• A passion for climate communication and women’s empowerment
• Excellent written communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to edit others' work
• Ability to multitask and know what to prioritise
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Has own laptop that can run Adobe programs

Employment type: Full time, 4 or 5 days weekly (negotiable).

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 (pro rata) per annum exclusive of superannuation (to be calculated separately). Salary level dependent on experience.
