About the Role

The Senior Manager of Digital Experience and Learning Design plays a pivotal role in driving the development of a comprehensive digital learning landscape. Collaborating within a virtual team, this position leads the creation of various digital learning tools aimed at enhancing outcomes for children, young people, their carers, families, and significant others. With responsibilities spanning leadership, strategy, and digital design, the role focuses on fostering a culture of excellence, guiding high-quality training development, and leveraging innovative digital methodologies to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of online learning initiatives. Through oversight of instructional designers and seamless collaboration with stakeholders, this role actively contributes to the organisation's learning strategy, reinforcing ACF's commitment to delivering impactful learning experiences within the child and youth sector.

About You / Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, digital learning, interaction design, education, or equivalent blend of experience and training.
  • Proven experience in leading strategy, managing digital environments, and applying human-centred design to engage stakeholders and drive innovation.
  • Proficient in identifying, prioritising, and addressing user needs to create intuitive digital experiences.
  • Confident in guiding cross-functional teams, and managing multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Expertise in digital learning systems such as Articulate Rise, Cloud Assess, and Brightspace.
  • Ability to collaborate sensitively with content experts in nuanced areas impacting children and young people.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to a dynamic work environment.
  • Possession of a current Working with Children Check or equivalent.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to making a difference in the child and youth sector.
  • Innovative and creative approach to instructional design aligned with the values and vision of the Australian Childhood Foundation.
