The Australian Childhood Foundation are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for delivering exceptional administrative and customer service support. We are seeking a Customer and Operations Officer to play a vital role in supporting our organisation's day-to-day operations and service excellence.

As a key member of the Performance, Planning and Operations team, you will provide high-quality customer service, administrative, fleet, and facilities support, ensuring the smooth operation of both front-of-house and behind-the-scenes functions. Your work will directly contribute to organisational performance, data capture and reporting, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional, timely, and friendly customer service across multiple touchpoints.
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and operational systems for reporting and analytics.
  • Provide efficient administrative and reception support across sites.
  • Coordinate facilities maintenance, vehicle fleet management, procurement, and contractor liaison.
  • Support project activities, audits, policy implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with internal events, training logistics, and general office needs.
  • Onboading and offboarding - assisting the HR team with management of staff etc.

In order for you to succeed, you will need (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in administration, facilities, procurement or fleet management.
  • Strong data entry and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in not-for-profit or similar sectors.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • A current driver's licence and a valid Working with Children Check (or equivalent).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and relevant systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in project support or management.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.
