Outline & Purpose of Role:

Australia for UNHCR is an international aid agency that raises funds from Australian Donors to support the humanitarian operations of the UN Refugee Agency. Established in 2000 as part of a global fundraising network, it has now raised more than $350 million from a broad network of individuals, community and corporate partners.

We are looking for a motivated, resourceful and experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager, with a passion for the work we do, to raise our fundraising revenue through the acquisition, development and management of relationships with corporate partners, and continue to nurture and grow our corporate partnership portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a corporate strategy incorporating the facets of multi-year philanthropic funding, cause-related marketing and partnerships based on shared values.
  • Develop products which use innovative and best practice CSR frameworks.
  • Be the primary point of contact for Corporate relationships.
  • Manage an existing portfolio of partners and identify opportunities for deeper engagement to drive income growth, as well as those which align with global partnerships.
  • Identify and oversee new business development initiatives to acquire new partners, and explore SMEs as a new income stream to facilitate growth
  • Develop compelling proposals
  • Complete accurate and timely submissions and reports for all organisational corporate acquisition, development and retention strategies for internal management and global partnership purposes, including annual income and expenditure budgets and reforecasts, monthly leading indicator, management, program target and other reports.
  • Ensure a data-driven approach is in place for decision making, emphasising segmentation models, donor research and data integrity.
  • Liaise with organisational senior management and Board members to secure new potential corporate income streams, including partnerships and sponsorships

The successful application will possess the following attributes:

Essential

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in corporate partnerships management, or related position.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing all steps of corporate relationship acquisition and management, including cultivating a pipeline of prospective corporate partners.
  • Proven track record in preparing and presenting proposals for corporates to secure funding.
  • High level confidence, and strong strategic research, pitch & presentation skills.
  • High level written and interpersonal skills, and understanding of project proposal development.
  • Excellent creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable

  • Experience in using a CRM database, ideally Raisers Edge or similar platform.
  • Previous employment within charity or, not-for-profit sectors or marketing in the commercial sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant subject area, i.e. marketing, advertising, communications or business.
