The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities provides support services across child protection, domestic and family violence, youth justice services, multicultural affairs and senior’s recognition. As the Executive Director, your primary objective is to provide high level strategic leadership and management to the Corporate Communications, Secretariat and Ministerial Liaison teams, ensuring the delivery of quality service and advice to the agency’s executives and key stakeholders. Working within the Senior Executive Group you will contribute to the strategic direction and management of the agency and ensure effective workforce management and the development of a positive culture in line with TFHC values.

To meet the challenges of this strategic role you need demonstrated experience in a senior executive leadership position with an emphasis on driving and achieving strategic objects for corporate governance, risk and audit practices, and communications and marketing for a human services frontline organisation. In addition, you will have a sound understanding of strategic planning & risk management, high level communication and interpersonal skills and exceptional collaborative and influential skills. Proven political acumen, and a high level of cultural competence and extensive experience delivering programs across geographically diverse environments is essential.
