Communications & Digital Marketing Specialist

The Communications and Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating compelling communications and social media content that will engage the wider community meaningfully in the work of the Asylum Seekers Centre (ASC).

You will deliver internal and external communications across various channels and touchpoints, maintain the ASC website and social platforms, build and maintain data-driven, audience-centric digital marketing campaigns and work closely with the fundraising and philanthropy team to grow the ASC supporter base.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior communications or marketing role
  • Proven ability in developing, leading and implementing brand, marketing and communications strategies that support organisational priorities and goals
  • Strong writing skills, able to produce excellent copy across social media, marketing content, internal communications, and media relations
  • Track record in optimising technologies and social media to effectively connect with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement segmented multi-channel communications plans
  • Comfort in working with a high level of autonomy while also in a small team that has broad responsibilities
  • Ability to critically analyse and evaluate social media, web and digital campaign data and metrics, drawing insights to inform overall strategy
  • You will be a news hound, endlessly seeking out opportunities for the ASC to be at the forefront of the news agenda with the support of the Head of Communications
