Aspect Schools are leaders in education for children on the autism spectrum K-12, leading the way in developing and applying innovative, evidence-based education approaches that create positive outcomes for autistic students and young people.
It’s the perfect time to join one of our nine Aspect Schools as we embark on our exciting journey alongside Lyn Sharratt to put focus on data, demonstrating growth of students learning and development. Our dedicated Educators are transforming the landscape of autism education, paving the way for brighter futures and boundless opportunities for our students.
Aspect Hunter School provides placement for approximately 250 students on the autism spectrum bewteen Years 3 to 12 at its main school at Thornton, and across its satellite classes within the Catholic and Department of Education schools in Newcastle, Hunter and Port Macquarie regions. Aspect Hunter School also offers a Distance Education program for students on the autism spectrum in years 3 to 12 from across NSW.

Lead a school culture that demonstrates Aspect’s Mission, Vision and Values. Work within a team, using a person-centred approach, to implement the Aspect Comprehensive Approach (ACA) to teach students the skills, knowledge and strategies they require to achieve their potential and facilitate them to positively engage with their community.
Provide expert educational leadership to the school to ensure every student is developing the necessary skills to positively engage in their current and future environments. Promote family focused and person-centred approaches in all aspects of the school.
