What’s on offer:

Aspect is inviting university students in their final year of studying a Degree/Masters in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology and graduating in December 2025 or June 2026 to apply for a Scholarship of $10K. Funds to be used any way they wish such as paying fees, rent, living expenses or even put towards a car to help kick start their career!

Successful Scholarship recipients will be offered a permanent position with options to work either 3, 4 or 5 days per week with the expectation of committing to minimum periods, ranging from 18 months to 24 months. Completion of Degree/Masters is required.

Job Description

Our comprehensive graduate program includes:

  • A combination of self-paced and guided modules covering introduction to the organisation to working with clients
  • Joint and shadow visits as you learn the ropes
  • An informative webinar series covering the latest evidence-based research
  • Child protection and safeguarding training
  • An introduction to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Building your caseload gradually
  • Strong individualised support and supervision structure with both a clinical and operational focus tailored to your learning needs
  • Excellent internal and external professional development opportunities worth approximately $1000 per year

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in speech pathology or occupational therapy
  • Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA for speech pathologists) or AHPRA (for occupational therapists)
  • Current driver’s licence, use of own vehicle for business purposes (reimbursed per km) and willingness to travel across your local community
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Working with Children Check for paid employment for the state you reside in
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’ certificate. If you have not already completed the free module, click here to access it.
  • You may be required to provide an international police clearance
