ASHM Health is a leading not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting professionals in the field of HIV, blood borne viruses (BBVs) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH). We deliver training, develop the resources and guidelines, run the conferences and advocate passionately for the needs of our members and communities. Our members are physicians, nurses, researchers, epidemiologists, social workers, pharmacists and allied health workers – united to eliminate harm from these diseases and to protect our diverse communities.
The newly created position of Governance Officer will work with the Senior Management Team to review, recommend amendments and implement approved changes in the governance framework. This includes updates to policies and procedures.
With a background in governance, legal, auditing or project management and a few years’ experience in these areas, you will have confidence liaising with all levels within the organisation. Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will be utilised when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders and activities related to external reporting and accreditation requirements.
As a self-starter, who is able to work independently, you will have a pro-active mindset with good time management and be ready to develop your governance skills further.
