About You

We are seeking a strategic and driven Global Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex international health projects within our Global Division. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and navigate competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. A solid understanding of the international development healthcare sector, along with excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills, is key to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support complex global health projects, ensuring effective planning, resource management and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including funders, clinicians, community groups, and partner organisations.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines and deliverables, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and ASHM standards.
  • Oversee the development of training materials and resources tailored to clinical needs in project countries.
  • Prepare and submit project activity and financial reports to funders.
  • Contribute to policy development and advocacy efforts within relevant project areas.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Postgraduate qualification in Public Health, International Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management or public health within an international development context.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects across diverse settings and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of global health systems and core project management principles.
  • Experience working in the not-for-profit sector, government, or non-government organisations in international settings.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and work plans.
  • Successful track record in managing international health projects, including financial oversight and activity reporting.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience coordinating teams and engaging diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce and edit reports, proposals, and training materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
  • Committed to ethical practice, inclusivity, and working with communities affected by HIV, viral hepatitis, and related conditions.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and the social determinants of health.
  • Understanding of HIV, viral hepatitis, BBVs, and STIs.
  • Familiarity with adult education and training methodologies.
