Team Leaders will supervise a small team of General Hands some with disabilities carrying out cleaning, and general maintenance to maintain a wide variety of sites for our commercial clients.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General cleaning
  • Commercial cleaning
  • Supervising a small team
  • Vacuuming
  • Bathrooms/Toilets
  • Mopping
  • Using disinfectant products
  • Dusting/wiping furniture and rooms
  • Washing walls/windows
  • Light domestic duties
  • Other activities as requested
  • Team members were led effectively, receiving coaching and direction to meet schedules and contract specifications.
  • Team results and effectiveness were facilitated by working collaboratively and cooperatively, including assisting in areas where team members are on leave or absent.
  • Accidents, injuries and near misses were reported immediately. Hazards and risks were identified and acted upon to create a safe and compliant work environment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

  • A minimum Cert III in a trade and/or Cleaning Operations certificate; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Working with Children check
  • National Police Check
  • A White Card and practical understanding of WHS requirements.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A current driver's license
  • Physical fitness to meet manual handling requirements
  • A confirmation record of COVID-19 vaccination (dose 1,2 and booster).

Nice to have's OR Desirable

  • Formal team leadership training and/or equivalent knowledge and experience with demonstrated ability to supervise and support staff.
  • Experience with working with people with disabilities, particularly in a service provision context.
