Arlparra Community Store are looking for a Couple, Husband/Wife or Partners to run our Takeaway.

Arlparra Store is on the Utopia Homelands, a 3230 square km land area. The Anmatyerre and Alyawarra people who live on the Angarapa and Alyawarra Lands, consists of 16 communities/outstations, approx. 700 people in total who live and work here.

The roles are Chef and Kitchen Hand.

about the opportunity

• Remote Community experience is preferred.
• We are looking for a self driven and motivated Couple
• In this role both must be able to work alongside and take direction from each other, as well as the Store Manager.
• Both should have experience in their Roles, be it Chef/Cook and Kitchen Hand.
• Both must have understanding of OH&S and follow these guidelines.
• Kitchen should be kept clean and organised.
• Chef will do the ordering of stock that is needed for the kitchen, ordering should be done with the Budgets in mind.
• Healthy, nutritious options must be available all day everyday
• Both will from time to time need to help with other tasks around the Store/Takeaway, including unloading of weekly Truck.
• Must report to the Manager of the Store on a weekly Basis.

Arlparra Store is in an Indigenous Community 250kms North/East of Alice Springs, there for is in a “DRY ZONE” NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ARE PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
