Initial Transitional Support (Corrective Services) for people post release from prison NSW

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Case Worker to support people who are exiting the NSW Prison system. The target group includes people with an acquired brain injury, mental health, intellectual disability and/or alcohol and drug issues including those from an Aboriginal and CALD background.
Experience in working with people with an ABI, alcohol and other drug, justice, mental health, disability and/or homelessness is an advantage.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Social Science, Social Work, Welfare, Health & Community Services, Disability or equivalent with a willingness to develop further knowledge in the areas of Acquired Brain Injury, Justice, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis
- Relevant experience in working within the corrective services, acquired brain injury, mental health and/or alcohol and other drug sectors
- Experience in the provision of community based support to people with a disability and in particular those with complex care needs
- Expertise in applying a person centred approach to all aspects of work
- Well-developed written and verbal communication
- Well-developed computer skills including ability to competently use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Sound negotiation, relationship building, problem solving and time management skills
- High level of professionalism and integrity, proven ability to represent the organisation in a professional manner at all times and demonstrated initiative, flexibility and positive attitude
- The ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment
- Experience in working with diversity, including individuals from ATSI or CALD backgrounds
