APRA AMCOS is seeking an Administration Manager, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music Office (NATSIMO) located in either the Sydney or Melbourne APRA AMCOS office which forms an integral part of the national team and would be required to liaise with all staff across departments where required. This position requires the incumbent to be responsible for the day to day administration of the APRA AMCOS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music Office (NATSIMO), whilst supporting the team with stakeholder and membership relationship management and to support and contribute to and internal process development and external advocacy.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide professional yet personalised membership support to current and prospective members including resolving member queries, provide current company procedures and membership policies information related to NATSIMO
  • Provide culturally sensitive dedicated, quality member services
  • Assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members to understand the value of their music to advance their careers, and advocate for their rights
  • Encourage greater understanding of the role of APRA AMCOS amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music creators
  • Effectively advocate on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander songwriters
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for increased representation
  • Music industry engagement through attending APRA AMCOS membership and music industry functions
  • Co-ordination, budgeting, participation and evaluation as required for member events (virtually and face to face)
  • Deliver quality public speaking, education and representation on behalf of NATSIMO and APRA AMCOS
  • Professionally and successfully execute reports and statistical information
  • Provide accurate and timely administrative support services Administration, correspondence and database management relating to writer members
  • Support and manage NATSIMO and APRA AMCOS Member Events where required
  • Design application forms and develop and administer grant mechanisms for member specific opportunities as required

Skills and Experience:

  • As you will be the first point of contact, excellent communication skills are essential with a proven ability to establish positive professional relationships with members
  • Strong problem solving, planning, and organising skills
  • Exceptional member and customer service skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail, initiative and be able to work well under pressure
  • Self-sufficient in use of digital tools, such as Microsoft suite of applications (Outlook email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams)
