Griffith University's Clinical Trial Unit (CTU), located in the Griffith Health Centre on the Gold Coast Campus is a core research facility for Griffith University. The CTU offers a site for Phase I-IV clinical trials, including academic or clinical investigator initiated, research grant funded and commercial trials. Griffith University seeks to appoint a Clinical Research Nurse to be responsible for clinical trial study coordination duties for commercial trials conducted by the CTU, as well as clinical trial related service provision to Griffith University staff.
Working under the direction of the Clinical Trial Unit Business and Operations Manager, the Clinical Research Nurse will coordinate commercial clinical trials conducted by the CTU and provide clinical services to Griffith University staff who conduct their trials in the Unit. Tasks will include ongoing coordination of clinical trials, including the conduct of study visits, data entry and communication with clinicians and study participants. The Clinical Research Nurse will be required to assist with study start-up procedures, HREC submission, lead the preparation of trial specific documents, as well as study close out and archiving. The Clinical Research Nurse will also provide support and assistance in the operational and day to day management of the CTU.
This is a fixed term (2 years), full time position based at the Gold Coast campus.
The successful applicant will be a Registered Nurse who has demonstrated significant experience in clinical trial research (data management, HREC submissions) and clinical services (e.g. ECG, venepuncture, cannulation), as well as proven knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, with particular expertise in clinical trial coordination and clinical trial project management. Flexibility in working hours is a requirement of this role.
Common Law Contract: $94,767 per annum.
