The Opportunity

As a Full Stack Web Developer in our Academy Product team you'll play a key role developing customised applications and services for the platform. The platform provides free access to online courses, technical assistance, virtual labs and webinars so users can gain a deeper understanding of Internet technologies and keep pace with the latest industry developments. Learn more about our Academy at https://academy.apnic.net/. You'll be part of a small and vibrant agile team, working closely with a tech lead, UX specialist and product manager. You'll be empowered to work autonomously, trusted to deliver outcomes and have an influence on selecting the best tools and technologies for the products.

In this role you'll get the opportunity to:

• Further develop your skills in web development

• Work on a project to migrate the existing platform to a single page React app

• Develop customised integrations and plug-ins with various application and web services

• Support a large and growing user base in the Asia Pacific region

• Mentor other developers in the use of REACT

About You

In order to be set up for success, on your first day we'll expect you to have:

• 3+ years of software development experience

• Knowledge of the ReactJS ecosystem

• SPA experience (ReactJS)

• Experience with Typescript

• Modern JavaScript (ES6) experience

• HTML5 & CCS (Sass, Scss, Less)

• Database & SQL knowledge

• Responsive web design

• Experience with REST APIs

• Docker and continuous delivery experience

• Git and continuous integration experience

• Good communication and excellent interpersonal skills

We don't expect you to be an expert in everything and place a strong emphasis on learning and development. So whilst it would be nice if your background included the below, we'll support you to grow and learn them:

• Experience with Apollo & GraphQL technologies

• Knowledge on Nodejs and REST API design

• Experience working with Agile methodology using tools such as JIRA, Confluence

• Knowledge with AWS Cloud infrastructure (e.g., Lambda, AppSync)

• AWS and/or GCP cloud technologies and services
