APNA is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Nurse Facilitator in the aged care sector.
The primary role of the Clinical Nurse Facilitator is to supervise, mentor, and support student nurses participating in APNA’s Commonwealth funded Student Nurse Placement Aged Care program. This position requires advanced skills in aged care nursing, leadership abilities, and a passion for shaping the future of nursing in the aged care sector.
Skills:
- Registered Nurse qualification
- Experience working in the aged care sector
- Strong leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and support student nurses
- Knowledge of chronic disease management and complex care
Responsibilities:
- Supervise student nurses during their placement in aged care facilities
- Demonstrate advanced skills and leadership in aged care nursing
- Provide mentorship and support to student nurses
- Ensure high-quality placement experience for students
- Advocate for the value and respect of aged care nurses
- Lead by example to raise standards in chronic disease management and complex care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience working in the aged care sector
