Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform is Australia’s only not-for-profit Co-regulatory Arrangement operating under the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NTCRS). We work for our Members (leading IT brand owners), not for profit, providing a lean and sustainable arrangement to meet their liability under the Recycling and Waste Reduction Act 2020.
The opportunity
In this 1 year fixed term opportunity you will be responsible for developing and implementing the IT and cybersecurity strategy and business systems. This includes the day-to-day delivery of business systems, IT services and projects at ANZRP, and managing the service providers who deliver these services.
You will work closely and collaboratively with IT business sponsors and users to ensure their needs are reflected in and delivered through the IT service and projects they run. A core requirement of the role is to increase business efficiencies and productivity by reducing manual and administrative processes used by staff.
You will be responsible for:
- ANZRP’s IT and business system requirements, identify and research new/modified business systems/software as required, prepare business cases and budgets for Board approval.
- formulating and implementing ANZRP’s IT and cybersecurity strategies and develop necessary policies and procedures. Deliver IT activities, cybersecurity practices and business solutions that enable the strategic and operational work of ANZRP.
- leading ANZRP ’s IT and cybersecurity risk management identification, tracking and mitigation program, and maintain enterprise IT risk register. Lead / coordinate IT risk mitigations and issues management.
- project managing IT and business system implementation projects. Manage IT vendor selection and relationship management throughout project life cycle, reporting to the respective project sponsor(s).
- managing day to day IT and business systems operations, including managing vendors and service providers (software, hardware and IT security vendors). Manage hardware and telecommunications upgrades as required.
- preparing and maintaining detailed IT operations and project implementation plans (with input from Management). Provide regular reporting on IT operations using agreed key performance indicators.
- providing responsive verbal and written IT specialist advice to CEO and COO and recommendations to assist with effective project governance and decision-making.
In addition, you will:
- set and monitor quality standards for the delivery of all IT services and projects. Guide and coach team members on their role and contributions to achieving high quality IT projects and services.
- contribute to specialised projects, process improvement, member engagement, technology solutions, digital strategy and enhanced reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary degree qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration, or Engineering

Experience
- 10+ years IT operations management and project implementation experience in organisations with a highly diverse and decentralised workforce.
- 5 years experience managing multiple IT vendors delivering services into the organisation, including projects dependent on multi-vendor collaboration and dependency management.
- 3 years preparing comprehensive board level business cases, impact/risk analysis and budgets, creating and maintaining IT project plans, operational IT procedures.
- Experience with business systems associated with industrial, logistical, or transport industries, and in particular in the waste and recycling sector would be advantageous.
- Experience supporting business users of Microsoft O365, project management software, and contemporary business management tools.
- Knowledge of e-waste recycling and product stewardship schemes in Australia.
