The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand.

The college's purpose is to serve our communities by leading high quality patient care in anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine, optimizing health and reducing the burden of pain.

About the opportunity:

The Team Coordinator will provide support to the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Executive Officer to the Council. The role will also act as the committee support officer to 3 committees (2 finance & 1 IT). You will be required to provide high level administrative support, organise functions and travel logistics and manage databases. 

This is a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Executive Assistant to the CEO. Due to the nature of the role, this role will be required to be on-site 4 days a week (Tuesday through to Friday). You have the flexibility to work from home on Mondays. We can support you with flexibility around start/finish times and personal appointments as and when required.

About the team:

The objective of the Corporate Office is to enhance the efficient operation of the Office of the CEO, high level executives, and business functions of the College.

This role would suit someone with outstanding organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Specifically, you will have:

Essential

  • High level administrative skills and experience.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive and flexible in adapting to business needs.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and effectively in a c-suite environment with a range of senior professionals.
  • Sound judgement and discretion - demonstrated ability to exercise diplomacy, sensitivity, and confidentiality.
  • Eagerness to take on learning opportunities with a drive to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in the use of technology and software applications e.g. MS Office, etc.

Desirable

  • Exposure to working within a committee support environment.
  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit space, an educational, financial or IT environment would be advantageous but not essential.
