The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand.
The College has a proud record of promoting professional standards and patient safety in the areas of anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine and is at the forefront of specialist medical education, ensuring it continues to evolve to meet the changing demands of the profession and the patients it serves.
The Policy, Safety and Quality team has an advocacy role, managing relationships and developing submissions for government and non-government bodies in Australia and New Zealand, managing the Commonwealth Department of Health’s Specialist Training Program (STP), the safety and quality portfolio and Indigenous health and global health initiatives. Much of this work involves communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
The role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to a project seeking to provide increased health services for regional and rural communities.

Commonwealth health grant administration experience, and a sound understanding of the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines, would be highly regarded.
This position involves occasional work outside normal business hours for committee meetings, teleconferences, conferences and interstate travel.
