The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) incorporating the Faculty of Pain Medicine, is an internationally recognised specialist medical education institution responsible for the training, examinations, specialist qualification, and continuing professional development of all anaesthetists and pain medicine specialists in Australia and New Zealand.

The college's purpose is to serve our communities by leading high quality patient care in anaesthesia, perioperative and pain medicine, optimising health and reducing the burden of pain.

About the opportunity:

The Membership Services Administrator is responsible for

  • Providing committee and working group support
  • Providing general administration and support and customer service
  • Supporting membership services operations

This is a full-time role reporting to the Membership Services - Manager, Fellowship Affairs. You will be based at ANZCA House on St Kilda Road, Melbourne, with hybrid, flexible working options available.

This position may involve work outside normal business hours for committee/working group meetings and webinars. Time In Lieu will apply for these additional hours.

About the team:

This role sits within the Membership Services team whose role is to support and foster fellowship engagement with the college, and enhance the services delivered to members. The team is both passionate about and experienced in delivering projects that directly benefit our members, with communication and collaboration key to the team’s success.

Keys to your success:

This will be an ideal role for someone who is an excellent administrator, with high-level professional writing skills and the ability to confidently communicate with a range of senior stakeholders. You will have a genuine passion to engage with our members, build strong relationships and deliver excellent customer service.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential:

  • Sound experience gained in a professional environment in an administrative role involving the organisation of meetings, e-conferencing and committee/working group support.
  • Excellent written communication skills, the ability to prepare accurate minutes, agendas and draft a range of correspondence and reports.
  • Strong planning and organising skills, including the ability to effectively handle conflicting priorities, establish timeframes and meet deadlines.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to confidently liaise with a diverse range of people including professionals, Fellows and staff. This includes successfully negotiating outcomes in order to achieve deadlines.
  • Sound initiative and judgment, the ability to work effectively without direct supervision and escalate matters as appropriate.
  • Strong team orientation, the ability to work effectively as a part of an inter-professional team.
  • Very good PC Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced level: MS Word
  • Intermediate level: Outlook, Internet; Excel
  • Aptitude to learn the in-house database system iMIS, Zoom, Teams, SharePoint and Adobe Connect

Desirable:

  • Experience in a non for profit or medical college environment.
