The Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation (ANMF) Tasmanian Branch is the largest voice of nurses, midwives, and care workers in the state.

The role is responsible for the provision of industrial relations support in both public and private sector matters under the direction and supervision of the Member Operations Manager.
In a team environment, the incumbent will provide in collaboration with other industrial officers, high level industrial relations advice and assistance to ANMF staff and will conduct, where delegated, private sector enterprise agreement negotiations on behalf of ANMF members, in conjunction with ANMF’s organising team.
The incumbent will be responsible for complex individual member representations in conjunction with the member support team. They will provide advice to the member support team in relation to complex member matters that may include, AHPRA notifications/investigations/tribunal hearings, Workers Compensation Matters, Employment Direction matters and coronial enquiries.
The incumbent will also be responsible for ANMF’s participation in drafting of allocated agreements and work closely with the Industrial Officers and Organisers in providing support and assistance to ANMF’s Organisers in private sector negotiations.
There will be a requirement to attend Fair Work Commission disputes, run unfair dismissal matters, represent the ANMF at the Tasmanian Industrial Commission hearings/conferences for disputes both individual and collective. There may be a requirement to represent the ANMF at tribunal matters.
In conjunction with the ANMF industrial officer team the incumbent will be required to provide direction and feedback to the Branch Secretary and Member Operations Manager in relation to both local and federal industrial relations matters.
The role will be based in ANMF’s Hobart office and frequent intrastate travel may be required. Occasional overnight travel is also a requirement of the role.
