Who YOU are

Ideally, you will be a diligent and friendly experienced paralegal or later-year law student (or both/equivalent) who can analyse and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, on a variety of matters. You are self-aware and level-headed, have a genuine interest in assisting people who may have been treated unfairly, and can work to our values .

What you will be working on

Under the supervision of ANMF Legal Counsel, you will:

• Provide day-to-day administrative and other support to ANMF Legal Counsel as required;
• Undertake research and prepare briefing documents in the following areas:
  • Employment Law and Industrial Relations
  • Workplace Discrimination and Human Rights
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Health and Healthcare Policy
• Draft submissions, applications, and relevant correspondence to stakeholders; and
• Liaise with and provide information to stakeholders and members as directed.

Your hours and salary

This role is a part-time role (3 days per week as agreed) and can provide appropriate flexibility to assist with relevant university study commitments.

The full-time equivalent annual salary is $68,361, plus 13% superannuation (pro-rata), along with a number of other generous entitlements.
