Southern Queensland supports a variety of initiatives aimed at helping children and young people, who are not able to live with their own family, the opportunity to live in a safe nurturing family environment.
We are seeking a Practitioner, based in Gympie, for a full-time 12 months contract to be part of our “Foster & Kinship program” providing targeted support to recruit, train, assess and support Foster & Kinship carers to meet the individual needs of children and young people in Out of Home Care (OOHC).
If you enjoy working as part of a collaborative team who empower our Foster and Kinship carers to help meet the needs of children and young people in their care then this is a role for you.
This essential service will be focusing on providing direct therapeutic interventions with children and young people and supporting foster and kinship carers. Some after hours and weekend work will be required. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience building rapport and relating to children and young people within a micro therapeutic manner, supporting foster and Kinship Carers.
