About the role

We're looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to take on the role of Director at our Anglicare at Southern Cross Early Learning service, situated on the welcoming and leafy Southern Cross Early Childhood School Campus. We are a Sanctuary-certified organisation with trauma-informed care and a framework for well-being focusing on safety embedded within our service.

These programs cater to a diverse age group, including children aged 0-5 and 5-12 years, within our Out of School Hours and Holiday programs.

Your role is crucial in supporting our Educators not only in the execution of these programs but also in nurturing their professional growth and development. This position calls for someone who can foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment for the team, children and families.

A significant aspect of your role will involve maintaining and enhancing the strong, caring relationships at the core of our practice, maintaining a commitment to ongoing quality improvement and ensuring high levels of regulatory compliance. An experienced and skilled leadership team will support you in this endeavour, ensuring consistency and continuity in our Early Childhood Education and Care approach.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • ACECQA-approved relevant Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications, including a minimum of a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Solid experience in leadership/management roles within the Early Childhood sector, with ECT qualification levels preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and all stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework/My Time, Our Place Framework, and a commitment to implementing these processes.
  • Strong understanding and application of all statutory requirements, licensing, and legislation relating to the provision of Children's Services.
  • Embodiment of Anglicare's compassion, integrity, inclusion, and dignity values.
  • Demonstrated awareness of the rights of the child and mandatory reporting obligations.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and anaphylaxis qualifications.

Embark on a fulfilling journey as our centre Director and make a lasting impact on the lives of young children. Apply today and join a team of passionate Educators committed to providing exceptional Early Childhood Education and Care.
