The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) provides housing and homelessness services to single women and women with children in NSW. Last year, WHC housed almost 1,700 women and children, as well as supported over 300 homeless women. The organisation has a particular focus on addressing the housing needs of older women, women with children, and women who have experienced domestic and family violence. WHC has been operating for over 40 years.
The vision of WHC is‘Empowering women to improve their lives through the provision of housing that is affordable’.
The Chief Executive Officer role with WHC is now vacant and the WHC Board seeks an outstanding, high calibre individual to lead the organisation into its next chapter.
WHC’s Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of assets and services according to the vision of WHC, the strategic plan, and statutory and regulatory obligations.
They provide influential leadership for the long-term sustainability and growth of WHC by identifying business development opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders to maximise growth, and position WHC as a leading provider of sustainable socially responsible housing for women.
The successful candidate will be someone with strong strategic leadership capabilities, business management nous, good judgement and decision-making capabilities. They will have strong existing networks, excellent communication and presentation / media skills, and a passion for assisting others in the housing and homelessness sector. They must be confident and resilient but compassionate.
They will also need to pass a Mandatory National Police Check.
