About the business and the role

Amplify Life is currently seeking to employ multiple Occupational Therapists on generous terms that are above industry standards. We invite you to join our team as we build the Premier Therapy Service for NDIS Participants.

Therapists will be supported by Clinical Lead staff members and a full-time administrative team. Therapists typically work on a Casual basis and hours are variable depending on how much work the therapist chooses to take on. Positions are available to Casual, Part Time and Full-Time applicants. Please specify preference in your application. The range of referrals and locations of clientele vary, however at present there is high demand all through Metro North, South and throughout the general Brisbane Area.

Job tasks and responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist with Amplify Life, you will be asked to complete a variety of assessments for NDIS Participants. Assisting them with assessments and recommendations for plan review, Functional Capacity Assessments, needs assessments for Equipment and or Home Modifications as well as other industry appropriate assessments and reports that make recommendations based on your findings.

Skills and experience

Suitable member to join our team must have a passion and genuine interest in listening to and addressing the needs of clients, effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Excellent Interpersonal Skills and ability to work in difficult situations and with challenging behaviours. It is also favourable for individuals to have experience working with NDIS Participants with assessments, recommendations and report writing. Experience in aged care and home care packages would also be highly considered.

You must also hold:

  • Be registered as an Occupational Therapist under the National Registration & Accreditation Scheme with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card or relevant exemption
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in Australia
  • A copy of stated qualification certification
  • Have a driver's licence
  • Own vehicle
  • A suitable home/office work environment that is work-safe and private.
