This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising Acquisition team and provide ongoing campaign support to achieve our ambitious growth plans in 2022 and beyond. This role provides an excellent platform to develop skills and knowledge across the full spectrum of AIA’s fundraising programs.

The Donor Acquisition Assistant will support the acquisition of new financial supporters to raise millions of dollars for human rights by assisting with developing and launching new loyalty campaigns and supporting telemarketing acquisition and retention campaigns. This is an exciting new role which offers an opportunity to develop skills and knowledge of fundraising.

As a successful applicant, you will possess excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work to timelines and across competing priorities. High level communication, presentation & interpersonal skills, including written, face to face, telephone, social media, are essential to be successful in this role. Experience in moderating/ supporting the management of social media platforms and fundraising programs, in particular digital/or telemarketing are considered desirable for this position.

This role is responsible for:

  • Assisting the Acquisition team with developing new supporter retention journeys that demonstrate the human rights impact that supporters are having
  • Assisting with building supporter emails and landing pages
  • Moderating and engaging with comments on Facebook ads as required
  • Assisting with developing briefing documents for suppliers including updates on Amnesty’s human rights wins
  • Assisting with facilitating fundraiser training across Australia - in person or virtually
  • Conducting regular quality assurance on telephone campaigns, for example listening to calls and providing feedback (including calls that aim to retain Amnesty supporters -“Thank You”, calls that win back supporters, “Reactivation”, calls that inspire the supporter to increase their giving “Upgrade”, or calls that inspire the public to become a regular donor - “Conversion”)
