About Dolly’s Dream and the Alannah & Madeline Foundation:

Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the tragic loss of their 14-year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide, after ongoing bullying. Kate and Tick’s goal is to prevent other families walking this road.

They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

Dolly’s Dream is proudly supported by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to keeping children and young people free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play. Through Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong.

About the role:

Based in the offices of the Department of Education, Northern Territory Government, Darwin, this role will support the Dolly’s Dream team to deliver our program strategy across rural, regional, and remote communities.

  • Full time, or part time to the right candidate
  • 2-year contract

To make an impact in this contract role, you will:

  • Build awareness of Dolly’s Dream and the work we do to prevent bullying.
  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual workshops to students, parents, and teaching staff.
  • Promote the Dolly’s Dream resources and develop bespoke resources.
  • Develop effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the Office of eSafety on the development and dissemination of information specific to NT and rural, regional, and remote communities.

The perfect you:

  • A qualification in education, social sciences, public health or similar.
  • 4+ years’ experience executing projects or initiatives either in NFP, corporate, consulting, or public sectors.
  • Previous experience delivering social change projects; frameworks or initiatives in the education sector.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of contemporary online safety and digital inclusion issues.
