• Australian Medical Council clinical assessment review: medical educational position
• Flexible remote, part or full time work
• Initially up to 12 months with possibility of extension
• Available for Level B or Level C equivalent (Salary $111,000 to $167,600 pa + superannuation depending on experience)

The Australian Medical Council is the accreditation authority for the medical profession. It delivers the assessment of the knowledge, clinical skills and professional attributes of international medical graduates seeking non-specialist registration in the medical profession.
The AMC is implementing a new model of clinical assessment after a wide-ranging review. It is seeking a medical educationalist who will support our move to implementation. This is an opportunity to help shape the AMC’s assessment strategy and delivery.

The position will contribute to:

• data analysis and research
• summaries, position and option papers
• design of revised assessment modalities and templates
• assessment policy
• stakeholder briefings and communications, and training of exam contributors
• evaluation strategy
• AMC requirements for redesign and linkage of databases and reports
• review of assessment resources and infrastructure planning.

Experience and qualifications

Applicants for this position must have:

• At least a Masters level qualification in a related field such as health professions education, assessment or statistics and at least three years’ experience in medical education assessment and evaluation.
