ABOUT THE ROLE

The Digital Communications Lead is a brand-new position at Amaze! Reporting to the Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, the Digital Communications Lead will be instrumental in leading the team’s digital communications and engagement strategy.

This hands-on and dynamic role will see the successful candidate leading the organisation’s digital communications activity working across website, eDMs, social media, digital advertising and reporting platforms. The position will also lead the delivery of key digital communications tasks related to projects and campaigns.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

The Digital Communications Lead will be an integral part of Amaze’s communication strategy and execution. A master in managing multiple priorities and an expert in internal and external communication, key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the ongoing maintenance, development and optimisation of the current Amaze website.
  • Managing the day-to-day tasks of Amaze’s social media channels, including content development and community monitoring.
  • Working with the Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement to develop and build Amaze’s email marketing strategy, including UX journeys.
  • Leading the planning, development and publishing of engaging and informative digital content across all forms of communications, including social, online advertising, eDMs and the website.
  • Being a key participant in the upcoming Amaze website re-development project, from RFT (Request for Tender) development right through to execution and delivery.
  • Providing specialist advice to the Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, and other departments on digital communications approaches, content development and trends.
  • Building capacity in the team to understand and develop new digital strategies that meet the diversity of knowledge, background and lived experience in Amaze’s digital audiences.
  • Delivering monthly reporting on digital communication channels performance, and other digital reporting as required.

THE *IDEAL CANDIDATE (KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE)

Our ideal candidate is a digital marketing communications superstar, with significant experience in leading digital communications campaigns. Qualifications in an appropriate field, such as Communications, Marketing, or relevant professional experience is essential.

We are looking for a unique type of person to work with us at Amaze, and our Digital Communications Lead is no exception. We need someone who has:

  • Strong experience with identifying and designing UX journeys and corresponding communications content.
  • Proven experience with planning, building/editing and optimising websites, social media and email marketing.
  • Experience with executing digital communications campaigns and projects across website, eDM, digital advertising and social media.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience with SEO and SEM, the Google suite and paid and organic social campaign management tools (e.g., Meta, Facebook Ads Manager, Sprout Social, Sked).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop high-quality and engaging content for digital channels.
  • A detail orientated and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.

Please note, as this position requires work from the Victoria Street, Richmond / Wurundjeri office, it is a requirement that the successful candidate demonstrate triple-vaccination status.
