PLACE is seeking expressions of interest from individuals who understand that advancing community-led approaches can assist in meeting national challenges. We are recruiting several new Board Members to help guide the next phase of PLACE’s growth and impact, through the establishment of the ongoing board to replace the initial start-up board.

About PLACE

PLACE is a national, independent, not-for-profit organisation established through a collaboration between the Australian Government and leading philanthropic partners, the Minderoo Foundation, Paul Ramsay Foundation, Bryan Foundation, Dusseldorp Forum, and the Ian Potter Foundation.

About the Role

PLACE is governed by a skills-based Board and is looking to appoint Directors who bring:

• Experience in board governance and strategic leadership
• Strong understanding of corporate or commercial environments
• Understanding of the role of government in funding, policy and community outcomes
• A clear community lens, with a commitment to inclusion and collaboration
• Well-developed relationship and stakeholder engagement skills

We welcome applications from individuals across sectors - corporate, community, government, philanthropy; and are particularly interested in people with a deep understanding of community-led approaches, place-based systems change, or First Nations perspectives.
