The Office Manager is responsible for the administrative details of the organisation. They report to the Managing Director and works 12 hours per week.

The Office Manager will undertake the following tasks:

  1. Book-keeping and associated paperwork, including reconciling bank accounts and ensuring budgets and other relevant record keeping is kept up-to-date.
  2. Organising logistical details related to meetings, events and field work, e.g. organising venues, travel, accommodation and printing.
  3. Office management and organisational procedures including everything from picking up mail from our PO Box to recruitment and onboarding of volunteers.
  4. Assist in monitoring and evaluation of projects.
  5. Assist with the organisation’s public communications when required.
  6. Assist with the implementation of the organisation’s Reconciliation Action Plan.

Essential selection criteria:

  1. Prior work experience in updating the financial records of a small business or not-for-profit using Xero (or similar) including undertaking quarterly bank reconciliations, invoicing, and processing payments.
  2. Confidence in management accounting / budgeting.
  3. Excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage several tasks at once.
  4. Self-motivated worker who is proactive and shows initiative.

Management of staff or volunteers, management accounting and analysis, and a genuine interest in human rights issues will be highly regarded.

This position will commence in March 2019 and conclude in June 2020, with the possibility of an extension dependent on grant funding.

The Office Manager will work 12 hours per week from All Together Now’s office, which is close to Central Station. Our preference is that these 12 hours are worked over three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

The Office Manager will be paid a gross package of $61,500 per year pro rata (at 37.5 hours per week), which is inclusive of 9.5% Superannuation. The gross package will be increased by 2.5% from 1 July 2019. In addition, the Office Manager will have access to Flexi-time and bonus holidays over the Christmas/New Year period.
