People with a disability who want support to live and participate in the community get that support from Allevia staff.
The support provided is what people want and need — delivered in groups or individually.
We are currently looking for creative, open minded, compassionate, and motivated people to join our support team.
Previous experience supporting people with a disability is an advantage but not a deal breaker.
You will need to have good communication skills (written and verbal) as you will be supporting people with varying communication support needs.
You will need to hold a current Australian driver’s license.
Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services or Welfare are not necessary but are an advantage. We provide some training but you will need to be willing to undertake some studies in your own time to build your knowledge and skills.
People with a disability come to Allevia for support. Other people in the community who provide support also come to Allevia for support.
We provide support based on what people ask us to do for them and with them.
We are committed to providing support services that are reliable, responsive, flexible, friendly, empathetic, and long lasting.
We believe in honouring people for who they are and what they desire in life, We listen to them and provide the supports they want, not what others think they need.
After you are successful at getting an interview, you will be supported to complete the NDISWC Worker Screening process.
We are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and are committed to diversity and inclusion in our organisation.
Salary: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award with salary sacrifice options available.
